its been a really rough/busy/hectic week for me. i have 5 guests over which are mostly relatives...and they been stayin here since a couple days ago...its hard on my sleep since Dex loves to bark at all of them when they are comin and goin down the stairs. Dex also loves to bark when hes being protective over the bathroom...whoever goes into and then out of the potty....he barks and growls at -.- besides that its been busy at my side job...holidays are so tirin...more than usual this year. also have so many orders to fulfill! and all that xmas shoppin im so glad thats finally done with.

so onto today as in (thurs) KC got her spay done finally. the night before my bf came to pick her up so she can spend the night at his place and go early with him and his mom since they love her so much :]

this was taken right when he got there to get her

back at his place restin

when i came over to have a small grub and pick her up

she slept many hours

so knocked out...

her booboo!

here's a bag the bf's mom knit/crochet? last minute just for KC!

back at my house, all snippy and growly at dex

i also have a question. Dex was very very very happy to see KC again today so he peed with excitement on the couch right when we came back home...and then puked out watery bile...and then also puked again watery bile after lickin up some of her pee just peed!....why in the world is he lickin her pee! i try tellin him no but hes like...zoned into it...wont stop sniffin around for it -.-

p.s: she also has a microchip too :]

Ah the poor little thing :( so nice of your boyfriends mother to make that cuddle bag for her, just what she needs, warmth and lots of cuddles!

Dex may just be confused at her disappearing, her change in not wanting to play etc, and the funny smells after her being in the vets - hopefully he won't do it again once things settle.

Give KC a cuddle from us

Aw poor KC. Hope she has a quick recovery. Mylo does that some times with Willow. I read somewhere that dogs can get information about other dogs from their pee, like whether they are ill and I wondered whether this was why? I'm going to google it.

This is what I found...

the "vomeronasal organ", also known as the "Jacobson's organ".
The Jacobson's organ is located in the roof of a dogs mouth, and is an actual olfactory organ.
The vomeronasal organ is mainly used to detect pheromones, chemical messengers that carry information between individuals of the same species, hence is sometimes referred to as the "sixth sense."
Simply put, dogs lick things, including your feet, to collect samples of what they smell to be processed by the vomeronasal organ.

Just because neutering a dog causes them to not care about what they smell (pee spots), does not change the WHY they licked them.
