Dear Kissa,

I miss you. I miss your big beautiful eyes and your wonderful smile.
You were my best friend. You were there with me before hubby came
into my life. You were a great training partner. I loved rollerblading
with you for hours. I loved running with you, I loved playing with you.
You were amazing at agility. I loved taking you on hikes. I loved
taking you everywhere. No matter if I traveled by foot, car, bus,
train or plane, you were always with me. I miss that. I miss you.
You were there when Boss died. You were there when I had
my surgery and was in a wheelchair for months. You were there when
we took in hundreds of rescued dogs and cats, throughout the years.
You helped neglected and wild cats overcome their fear of dogs. You
helped insecure, abused and neglected dogs socialize. You taught
Rocky and Benji manners, and helped me turn them into good doggy
citizens. You were a pleasure to be around, everywhere we walked,
you put an instant smile on everyone's face. You cheered up many
accident victims at the rehabilitation center. You made a difference
for many children at the school for autistic children. You were a great
therapy dog, not just for others, but for me as well. You helped me
through very challenging times, through many family deaths, many
horrible things that life threw my way. You were always there, and
you made a difference by just being yourself. Thank you Kissa for
staying so loving and loyal to me for 10 years. You will forever be
in my heart. No one will ever replace you, or even come close.

I love you, and always will.

:sad5: Kissa's story made me cry :sad5: I'm thankful Kissa spent a life of love, happiness, fun filled and amazingly many more days with you. It breaks my heart when a loved pet passed over but at the same time I am blessed to know they didn't live a bad life without ever knowing love like many dogs do. Kissa you were a lucky pup to have such an awesome family! May you rest in peace sweet girl <3

Thank you all very much.
It's been 5 months, but is still very hard for me.
Kissa brought so much joy into my life. We had a lot of fun together.
She really was more than a dog, she was my friend. We traveled a lot
together. And we moved 3 times. She was very active and outgoing,
until her very last day. She went on 6 hour hikes with my hubby, and
the only reason they ever came home is because hubby was tired, not
Kissa. She really changed his mind about small dogs, she was never
anybody's accessory, she could do anything a big dog could, and did.
I remember when I first met hubby, oh gosh Kissa put him through hell.
She loved everyone, but she really made Robbie work for it. She tested
him, and he knew that to get to my heart he had to go through Kissa, lol.
So he did, he did everything in his power to get her to like him. And once
she accepted him, they were inseparable. The three of us made a great team.

She does look like Mia :( Your Mia is gorgeous too.
Kissa was a great model, she loved posing for pictures because I praised her for it a lot.
She was very photogenic, but even prettier in real life. She had it all, the beauty and the intelligence.

Oh, Kissa definately seemed to have a happy life with you. I'm so sorry about your loss.

RIP Kissa
Thank you, it's so nice of you to say. I appreciate it.

I'm so sorry for your loss, LS. Kissa was so beautiful, what a sweet face. You can tell from the pics how happy and well loved she was. :) I lost my Pom Keeta 2 years ago. It was so incredibly hard. She was with me for 18 wonderful years and such a great pal. I understand what you're going through, it's so hard to lose our little friends.

RIP sweet Kissa. xx

We lost our boy **** one year ago day after tomorrow. I miss him. The girls have healed my heart but there will always be a place missing in it that belongs to him. I know you must feel the same.
Bless you as your heart heals!

Thank you, you're so kind. I'm very sorry for your loss as well.
18 years is impressive, but I'm sure letting go was still extremely difficult.
No matter how long our fur kids live, it's never long enough, is it. There is a
kind man in our neighborhood who always stops hubby to pet and admire
our dogs. Hubby asked him once why he doesn't have a dog, since he is
obviously so crazy about them. The man replied that he doesn't think he
would be able to endure the pain of losing a dog after 10-15 years. He said
"You invest in them physically and emotionally, you invest, and then they die"
Personally I think as difficult and painful as it is, I would keep going through it
over and over. Because the joy my dogs bring me is priceless. I take pride in
knowing that I did my best to give them the best life possible, and that we
shared many happy moments together, that'll forever remain in my heart.

Aww thank you sweetie. I'm sorry about your boy ****.
I can tell that your girls are bringing you lots of joy, those
little adorable troublemakers. Chanel has helped me as well,
by occupying my mind. I never thought it would be a good
idea to get a puppy so soon after, but in my case it really was.
Chanel put our whole family right to work! As soon as she arrived.
With puppy kisses, play time, training, feeding, grooming, etc,
there isn't as much time left to be sad. She helped Rocky and
Benji move on as well. They got a little depressed about Kissa.
Now they act like puppies again. It's a nice atmosphere, I'm
happy.

I appreciate your kind words, they mean a lot. I'm sorry about your little Roxy.
Rusty's life span is incredible, I never met a dog that old. What do you think
was the secret to his long life?

Thank you, don't be too sad for Kissa though, she lived a happy life. And
always lived each moment to its fullest, enjoying the simplest things.
I learned a lot from her.
