Just wondering if anyone got any ideas. Every time I give food to my little Diamond he only has a couple bits of nibble and then eats distracted by something even if its a bit of paper. He never ever seems to be hungry, even if he hasnt eaten all day. His currently on Royal Cain Chihuahua Junior food and nature diet meat.

Help Please

Most puppies have small stomachs and will graze during the day rather than sit down and eat a big meal. Is he underweight? If not, he is eating enough for him. Remember, they are tiny and their appitite will be rather small, too.

Ok. I will see with him I think for the moment. He has lost a little bit of weight since I have had him so his just made me a little worried. But his no where near being underweight.

Thank You

Diesel eats very small amounts at a time - he's 6 months, 2 1/2 lbs. He isn't gaining weight very quickly but he's healthy, and his dad and mom weren't big dogs, so we're not overly worried about it.

We do 'free feed' though. Food it out at all times for all of them. And, we feed a high protein food - Taste of the Wild has worked great for us.

Thank You Guys. I'm gonna carry on free feeding him dry food and try him on ZiwiPeak and see if he likes it. Fingers crossed. The information has been very much appreciated.
