Not sure what my last update was but things with the breeder got really weird and I was ready to fly out and get him and she got really bitchy on me. It was like I couldn't even ask her any questions without her getting all defensive on me. I started to get really freaked out and concerned. I wanted to get him out of there for HIS sake but it seemed the harder I tried to get him home the meaner and bitchier the breeder got. So, needless to say, I'm not getting London. There is no way in hell I want to work with a breeder like that. I have to say this breeder was the weirdest lady I have EVER talked to or had communication with. She is not customer friendly and quite frankly my husband and I are wondering if she's a con artist. I did manage to get a refund but that was nothing but a miracle!!!!!! I was happy to be done with her and I have to say, the last few weeks I've been having reservations about bringing in another chi since I like to be able to devote all my time and energy to Paris and Bruiser. They are my babies and I love being able to spoil them. I'm not criticizing those with more than 2 chis but I don't feel it's fair to my two. I can take my 2 everywhere I go and 3 just makes that tougher. So, I'm going to just be thankful for my 2 angels and enjoy every single second with the loves of my life. Now, on to planning their birthday doggie party!!!! We have a pet store in town that rents out their doggie party room for dog parties!!!!!!

Sad that it didn't work out for you, definitely sounds like there was something weird going on there so maybe you are lucky and avoided a big problem.

I'm like you and have my reservations about getting more than 2 dogs. Every time I see people post pics of their cute new puppies I want another one but logistically i'm just not sure how it would work for me - i'd be scared to be at the dog park and have something happen and have more dogs than hands to grab them with. If you feel 3 is not right for your lifestyle and your situation then just cherish the 2 little ones you have.

I think you did the right thing!! That transaction seemed odd to me from the very beginning. If you do decide to find another breeder, I'm sure you will find a reputable one. If you have decided to stay with two dogs - that is a great decision too. We all have to do what is right for us. I AM sorry for all the heartache and stress you have had to go through over this puppy though. What a deal. I'm very glad you got your money back! Thanks for the update.

Tracy,

Thanks...yea it was a very emotional ordeal. Very glad I got the money back. Yes, we have definitely decided to stay at 2 chis. I love being able to give them all my time and attention. It just works great for us. So, I guess in the end it was good it all happened to help me realize this is where we want to be.

I think it is fine to reconsider #s of Chis. I have 4 (10 critters total in my life), a full time job, horrendous commute, big house with lots of upkeep, no SO to help out, volunteer work . . . and to make a long story short I am exhausted and my Chis--all adult rescues--don't get enough time from me. they have each other, but I miss them terribly and four hours of an exhausted Mom each night . . . well, let's just say i am glad they are all adults, rescues, and forgiving. The best i can give them is a semi-comatose Mom nodding over her work at the kitchen table and a harried Mom on the weekends. Someday I will retire . . .

I believe everything happens for a reason. As stressful as this ordeal was, it
worked out for the best in your case. I'm sorry you had to go through it, but
glad you got out in one piece and with money back. Enjoy the wonderful dogs
you have and share some pictures with us all if you get a chance. Take care!

I was wondering what was up after our last text! Sorry for the ordeal :(
I have to say I like having my 2 Chi's during the week and just the weekends with all 4 chis. When my husband leaves his 2 with me ( well, really they aren't his & hers, but we say that since the same pairs tend to be with the same parent most of the time--lol) it is a lot of extra work, and I can't take them with as much. When we are all together it's no problem since there are 2 of us ( plus son) to the 4 of them...if we go somewhere they have extra company and stay out of trouble or we can both handle 2 if taking them along ( and to be honest, they almost always come along--we even take them to work with us).
Looking forward to some updated pics....did you ever get your new tote? :)
