so some of you may know that i joined a "dietbet" last month that lasted 28 days :D the goal was to lose 4% of your bodyfat and put in $25 for each person who wanted in on the game. i thought it wasnt goin to make it but....basketball, treadmill, pilates really did help me loads!...i took soda out of my meals...i used to drink it like water and replaced it with 100% juice drinks or just water. i ate mostly chicken salad or chicken salad lettuce wraps for dinner or sometimes tuna...i even made those fun things like the flourless pizza and the healthy donuts...each calorie really did make a difference! i didnt eat anythin after dinner other then some fruit or vegie. i was iffy about sharin my pic on here but hey....we're like family here right? well most of u guys...ill have to block some people :D LOL

went from a whoppin 152.5 to a 146.0 which is pretty good for 28 days right? :glasses3: i cant believe just that much weight made a huge difference on my face/legs/arms. my biceps got huge! :daisy:

i know u guys are wonderin what my meal was after the bet was over...well....seeing that it was my uncle birthday we went to a buffet haha! i picked out what i considered to be the healthiest things there

here's some of my meals i had durin this hard period...hard since im such a food lover. what really came of a shock to me was....after this whole change of diet for a month...it really did change my reactions to food. taste and after effects.
here's the setup i had to do pilates at home

1st night i had a mix of good and bad food to ease into this diet

even made banana oatmeal cookies

hehe KC!

Girl you did GOOD! :hello1: Congrats my friend! I'm so happy that you stuck to it and
achieved your goal. You look beautiful. And so does little KC! Don't give up on
eating healthy and exercising, it is so important, not for weight loss but for
overall health. I really enjoyed all of your pictures, and am super proud of you,
I bet you feel great, you definitely look it, you just look more bright eyed and
healthy, and more fit of course...it even looks like your posture improved, from
the pilates I guess. Congrats! Wow! :)

Well, may I say you were already beautiful before and you still are! Bravo to you because I know how very hard it is to loose only a few pounds! It took me months only for 4 kilos (about 8.5 pounds). I, like you, am not overweight, I was just unfit and ate extra stuff that had calories I did not need.

And here I was wondering, I wonder why that girl is not posting food pics as much...? Good for you! Soda is a big help to cut out with meals. It is amazing the little things you can change that make such a big difference. The trick is maintaining it, which I am sure you are going to do! Bravo again!

Such a beautiful girl (with beautiful food pictures and doggy!)

P.S My daughter has that same shirt you are wearing, in white. :)

That is so good to hear, less back pain is a huge plus! As you see, eating
healthy foods doesn't have to be boring, you are such a variety lover I'm
sure you could come up with a million and two options that are both healthy
and delicious. I'm not allowed junk at all due to my disease, it instantly
worsens my symptoms, and you know you do get used to avoiding it, there
is nothing to miss really. The fact that you lost some weight is really just a
bonus to what you truly started gaining which is better health. You seriously
look brighter, like Anna said you were always beautiful, but now you are
shining brighter than the sun girl! It makes me really happy that you are
doing this, because I believe it is best to invest into our health now, before
certain conditions pop up...health can escape right through our fingers, so
even though you are not ill now, it's still crucial you take good care of
yourself. And you surprised me by saying you now drink water, I'm so happy.
I guess it doesn't cause a bad reaction anymore? That's good! And is that the
new mat we were talking about? How do you like it?

ps: I remember about your B-Day, you & I are only 2 weeks apart. I'm on September 11th. :eek:ccasion5:

I don't want to be a year older this year, so I decided I'll become a year younger. :foxes_13:

Well done!! :D It's crazy how hard it can seem to lose just a few a pounds. It's hard to change eating habits at first, but after a while I find you stop craving bad foods. You went through the hardest bit, now it's a matter of maintaining it. :D Good on you to stop drinking soda too! A lot of people don't realise it, but that stuff is so bad! I stopped drinking it many years ago and now when I drink a glass occasionally, I just don't like it anymore. I had to change my diet completely a few years ago after being diagnosed with celiac disease. It was crazy at first since most junk food contains gluten, but now I'm pretty indifferent to all of it and I feel so much healthier in general. Keep it up! :)

And I would have never thought you were 28 btw. I know how it feels though... I turned 30 recently and I just don't know where the time went. Wth! Life flies by.

Well done you! You look great! I can certainly see the difference in the pictures of you. It certainly is a battle isn't it? Especially when you love your nosh like me. I don't drink and I don't smoke so food was always my vice. I'm trying to lose weight again. I lost 7 stone with a well known diet club 3 years ago but then I made the mistake of stopping going to the meetings. I've gradually put 3 stone back on again so back to the battle! I'm not doing very well at the moment, I keep going up and down but I have basically stayed the same since Christmas so at least I'm no bigger I suppose. How tall are you Pigeonsheep? I'm only 5ft 1" so it notices. I always said if I was 8ft I'd be fine 😏

Wow, that was a huge achievement. If you managed to do that once, I think you're capable of losing weight again for sure! :)
The stupid thing is it seems harder this time. Because I had so much to lose I got obsessed and I was on a mission. I wanted to lose 100lbs to get the 3 certificates, I got the 50 and 75 but got to 99lbs and just couldn't shake that last lb! I don't have any incentive this time. Last time I had a trip to New York for our silver wedding and I was terrified I wouldn't get my butt on the plane.
I have some truly hideous before photos! Pigeonsheep is a brave girl, I used to scoot every time a camera came out!

Oh that's understandable! It can be so hard to find the determination. Not just for dieting, but for any kind of goal. I think you've got it in you somewhere though, you just need to find a source of motivation somehow. Maybe going back to that diet club or something similar could help? Having the support of others can make such a big difference whereas on our own it can be easy to give up. I don't have weight to lose personally, but I'm trying to get back into exercising regularly for health reasons (I'm always tired otherwise) and I just can't do it... so I know how annoying it can be to get motivated!
