At what age do you think its best to introduce your chi's to other dogs. Zola has had all his jabs now so we have tried to introduce him to a few other dogs. My mums dog is a lab and was sooo scared of zola so that didnt work at all. As for cats they are all scared of him to. I just introduced him to my friend chris's puppie lab and zola didnt like him he would growl at him, we couldnt put him down on the floor with her throw as she was to hyper and so much bigger, she'd have flattened zola. He also met his brother, milo. He is a fully grown chi and he to did not like zola. He would run away from him scared

Do you think I should maybe wait til he's a bit older and calmer so he gets on with dogs and they arent so scared of him. I think there scared cuz hes sopper hyper and playful and there like wtf is this thing?

The younger socialised the better I beleive. Er Have you tried the park??? Loads friends that way???

theres not really any parks near me to be honest. Im just gonna have to keep trying him out with friends dogs and hes gonna meet Lexi at some point aswell, yyeppeeee!!!

no chi meetup groups in UK? mine have a blast at them well atleast Sturgis did Daytona and Lady are much too reserved but they are getting thehamg of it. Imagine tosssing your chi in a huge playpen full of chis lol. I was very hesitant and actually thought Sturgis would try and take all the chis on. Nope, he suprised me and romped and played

The books say to socialise puppies as young as possible, but it's easier said than done!

Vicky, I'll come through in the next 2weeks and we can see how Zola gets on with another Chi his own size, I think that'll help a little and it'll be good for Lexi too!

There are quite a few people from Scotland on this forum, but because we're from all over the country it's a little more difficult to get a meet-up!
We should try though.

yeah we are gonna HAVE to get a meet up sorted at some point in the next few months. I'm sure we can get a few people atleast to come along

Have any of you gone to the chihuahua meet up site http://chihuahua.meetup.com/and looked to see if there is one local to you? IF not you can create one there. they are a blast. they are now charging a fee of 19 dollars a month to keep the site going but that is collected 1 a piece. not bad and very enjoyable.

cool. Ill check that out then. Zola meet 2 new dogs tonight. There older dogs. One hated him and kept growling at hom but the other is blind in one eye and seemed to like him. Zola likes him to he was just doing crazy zoomies round him. sooo cute
