Normally at 7 wks they are still with their mom, so he is very young. Just be patient and consistent and he will learn.
my puppy is being picky.
hi odie is being picky :roll: :roll: for a day now or so anything that isnt that ceaser puppy food he wont eat it.ive been trying to give him other food and he eats a bit of it but with the ceaser stuff he scoffed the whole bowl. :shock: i hope he wont get sick cos thats another day of nibbling a this food while i try to get on to different things.plus his teething is a real issue as he keeps going for my fingers and not his toys. :roll: :roll: i keep showing him his toys he plays with them but aitll comes back for my fingers. ouch!!.hes getting better with the litter box.maybe im expecting too much too soon hes only 7 weeks old. :roll: maybe i should not expect too much so young lol. :wink:

I myself would stick to the food he likes... He is very young to be changing food on him...
I have had Gadget since he was 3 weeks old and I had him on Iam canned puppy formula food and after a couple weeks he started throwing it up... I had to change his food and it was very hard to get him to eat the new food... I had no choice but I had to change it without weaning him off the old and on to the new food... poor little fella didn't know what was going on.. he was 5 weeks and I had to change his food 3 times in just a few days.. it was not fun amd it gave him diarhea.. it was not fun.. finally I got Science Diet small breed puppy bites and he loved it... I had to run it through the food proccessor and then wet it with water... It was a big pain for that few days...
I wish you all the luck in the world.. but if I was you I woulld feed him the food he likes and then in a couple months try changing his food..

This is excellent advice and I hope you take it. Your pup is very young. You don't want him to go into hypoglycemic shock. Your pup may never eat a different food.
