Hi everyone!
When I adopted Maya in May the shelter was feeding her Science Diet Puppy, which was way to hard for my little 4lb girl to eat so I switched her to the adult toy breed. I've never used Science Diet before and I want to switch for 2 reasons- her poop is TERRIBLE! I've never smelled such stinky poo before. She als has very dry flaky skin and I'd like her to be more comfortable. I'm planning on adding some fish oil to her wet food to help with her skin and coat, but would you all suggest as a good food to switch too? I know how to read labels and stuff I'm just interested in what types of experiences people have had with different brands. Thanks guys!

Ziwi Peak- is the most popular here. I feed Venison and not the Venison and Fish as BG hates fish but I am going to start swapping between straight Venison and Lamb.

Stella & Shewy's is popular too. I give my two a beef patty once or twice a week.

Otherwise Raw is very popular and good but I have not made it that far yet.

My two have had Ziwi Peak since they were young young pups 10 weeks old. It is amazing food!

She loves the turkey, lamb, venison we feed the ferrets in our shelter, there's nothing but meat in that, but it's very expensive and she seemed to get constipated. Has this ever been a problem you've run into?

We feed Wellness Core Original Formula dry kibbles to Bella and Lina for the last 5 years. Bella has lots of food allergies with a sensitive stomach, and this was the only dog food she could eat. We also add small amounts of cooked vegetables as fiber and warm water (which makes a "broth") to the girls' dog dry food - this prevents constipation.

Wellness recently came out with Wellness Core Small Breed Formula that has smaller size kibbles. We're thinking about changing to this formula for our girls.

We're phasing Brew onto Acana Pacifica from Wellness Core Small Breed Adult. Nothing wrong with WC, just wanted to put him on a slightly higher quality food and they are both right around the same price. He absolutely ADORES his Acana, previously he needed a little coaxing to eat but now he just chows down.

In the kibble department, I love Acana. Odie eats the Ranchlands version. Her coat is beautiful and her poops are tiny. That being said, I'm going to see if the pet store we shop at will order us in some ziwi peak, just to add some variety.

I feed Wellness Core - regular size. He doesn't have a problem with the size and my golden likes it, too. But, I also feed Angel Honest Kitchen in the morning. He is a regular chow hound and will eat just about anything!

I feed Toby Ziwipeak. Just started about two weeks ago. And I will NOT be changing. He is thriving and doing better than I could have even imagined! I would highly recommend it. For kibble, I would recommend Acana grain-free varieties, Fromm grain-free, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, or Orijen.
