Hi everyone hope everyone is having a great day. I just recently took in Snickers who is a 1 year old male chi-beagle mix. the girl before me could no longer care for him . I have had him for about a week & things were fine at first with eating.. The girl didnt have any more dog food of the kind she was giving him so there was no way for me to change him over (mixing the new food with the old food ) Right now i have him on a food to see how he would like it he seems to like it but just last night he got sick and vomited up what would be the dog food. i am not sure if its the dog food that made him sick (as he has been fine for the past 4 days with it ) or the fact that my bf was playing rough with him ( Snickers loves to play rough and jump on my bf ) that caused him to get sick.. I of course want nothing but the best for my baby. today he is just laying around and sleeping so i am concerned. Could it be the food making him sick. what is the best dog food for small breed dogs ? should i put him back on puppy food ? what kinda food would u reccomend for him? any answers or thoughts would be greatly appreciated thank you

We honestly just got him a small bag of Alpo just to try to see how he likes it . he eats it but with him throwing up yesterday it just concerns me that maybe its the food bothering his stomach. as i said my bf was playing rough with him shortly before he threw up. But i just want to do what is best for him & i also wanna feed him something that is def good for him

I agree about the food. A good quality grain free, or a freeze dried raw, or raw is ideal. Tell your boyfriend not to play 'rough' with him until a couple of hours AFTER he eats!
