Hello I am new here to many things, new at forums took me an hour to figure out where to post ...lol I also am a new Mommy,Poppy is 8 weeks old ( been with me 3 days) and i have never had a pet before. So this is all new to me... any help or suggestions would be great. am attempting to papertrain him.... i have some pics posted and willl put some more up soon.

Hi there. Cant wait to look at pictures of your new baby Can i suggest using the search facility on this site, anything you want to know, then just type it in and have a look at the results that come up - most questions have been asked before!
As for paper-training, i had Honey puppy-pad trained in 2 weeks - the key is consistency! Theres lots of threads about this, so just have a look through

Welcome. I'm hoping to get a puppy soon. I've had Chihuahuas and lots of other pets while growing up but this will be my first pet. I've done so much research it's ridiculous. I've read Chihuahuas for dummies which I would recommend and I'm now reading Cesar Millan's 'how to raise the perfect dog'. Good luck with your little girl. You're in the right place.

I would like to thank you all for the warm welcome, Poppy is settleing in well, he is not sure about the potty training but he has figured out the treat part of going to the paper.....lol, I am really enjoying the company , hes really fun to watch. I wasnt sure about getting him because i have alot of medical things going on with me had to quit my job , i had a heart attack 2 months ago. but am getting better and starting to enjoy retirement with Poppy

hey there welcome to the forum! there will be many good advice given here when asked and also how EXCITIN is it that ur first pet is a pup! wow! i hope you got poppy great food, shampoo, conditioner, treats (no made in china treats). wee have some very crafty people including myself who make special items for your furbabies! just look in the "craft" section and u shall see posts on some remember to buy a harness for your baby as collars can be dangerous to chihuahuas gentle tracheas :albino: and if u have facebook please feel free to add me in the link below
