How do I stop my baby nipping me so hard when she's playing?? It hurts haha x

When she nips, tell her no and withdraw. End play and ignore for a period to time. Some people say to yelp like a dog would to signal that it hurts. Either way, you need to make sure that she understands it hurts and when she does it you will ignore her and play time will be over.

I have a 11 week old chi and I am dealing with the same thing. Everyone says to do what was just mentioned- end the play session. My guy seems to be picking it up but we aren't all the way there yet :)

My boy Roo does this as well. I give him a firm 'NO', then offer an alternative for nibbling. He'll bite the bone, toy or whatever I give him, and we'll keep playing, but it never EVER fails, the bite comes once again. It's frustrating but we're trying. Not to hijack this thread, but I have a question as well: Roo LOVES to play fetch, and could do it all day long. If I'm trying to get him to not bite, what other types of play should I introduce? He's always interested in a rousing game of tug-of-war, but it seems that game encourages him to bite.

Does anyone care to share fun, engaging, NOT BITE type games for my fun energetic little Roo?

Rolo does exactly the same. Must be a Chi puppy thing! I put him down on the floor and ignore him and don't give him any eye contact. Sometimes I also shout "Ow!" quite loudly and then he will stop and luck me. He was terrible for the first month or so but now he's nearly 6 months old he hardly does it all except for when my older children come round and he gets over-excited. Good luck!
