We don't have a yard, but there is a small dog only off leash park in the city I live in. It's height and weight restricted, which is great! It's a bummer though, because no one is ever in there. It was a gorgeous day yesterday, so we decided to hop in the car and take her so she could run free.

A couple people were just leaving as we were arriving. :foxes15: I've recently started a chihuahua meet up group, and our first meet up is at the end of the month. I can't wait!

This dog really wanted in the small dog area, and Odie really wanted him to come in.

Urban dog!

Some action shots...

She was scared of drinking from the big stainless steel dish there... so we had to call it quits a little early. We stopped to get some water on the way home. Next time I'll bring our own bowl.

On our way home.

Tuckered out little girl!

Glad Odie enjoyed her day at the park. Looks like she had loads of fun! Yes, bring your own bowl. I don't let Hershey drink from the bowls at the park since you don't know how long the water has been there and the different animals that drank from it. Great action pics!

Looks like she had a blast! She is such a cutie pie, that pic of her in the car on the way home is adorable :) You did well to get the action shots, mine never turn out well. I think it's because I use my iPhone instead of my proper camera (but i'm too lazy to take the time to put the camera shots on to the computer).

that is awesome that you started a meetup group! I can't wait to see pics from your first meet up. We have a dog park similar, but unfortunately it's kinda crappy and people always bring their "puppies' to the small side, even if they are 6 month husky puppies. Makes me mad.

LOVE IT!!! :p

Way to go Odie! Makes me happy to see active Chis!
Looks like you guys had a good time. But oh my I would
not call that "urban"...it looks like tons of fields and nature.
I wish you saw my version of "urban"...it is all tall buildings,
highways, noise and dirt. You live in a beautiful place, I'd
move there tomorrow if I could. It looks pretty and safe.

Thanks! It was SO much fun. I can't wait to do it again. I'm really thankful for the small dog park. It really comes in handy when you don't have a yard, and I would never take her to a dog park with all sizes allowed, just too dangerous. We're really lucky.

What a fun time!! I especially love the shots of her running her little heart out. Doesn't it just make your mom's heart happy?! So sweet. Thanks for sharing.
I don't think there are very many things in this world better than a happy, running dog!

Thanks! The water was fresh from the tap, but still, I know what you mean. Yuck. Will definitely be bringing our own bowl next time.

Thank you. :) Yeah, my iPhone is a no go for action shots. I took our actual point and shoot camera this time, and had to go through the whole ordeal with the cord and everything! Haha. There are cameras now that you can connect wirelessly! We're so spoiled.

I can't WAIT!! There might only be a few dogs there, but anything is better than no other dogs. Technically they're allowed in the smaller dog part here if they're 6 months on and fit the requirements, but haven't run into that yet thankfully. I'll post pics right after the meet up. :D

Yes, she's my little active girl, and I love it. :D Haha you're right, it's totally not urban. There's a downtown area, but I wouldn't say that the buildings are "tall". It truly is a beautiful place, although sometimes I forget that.

Wow can she run looks like she had a wonderful time. Love the video. The city just built a wonderful dog park in the town closest to where I live when Charlie gets a little older I'll have to take him and Penelope and check it out. I drive by it all the time and it always looks like the dogs and their owners are having so much fun.

She's definitely a runner! Sometimes we laugh so hard when she runs, there's just something hilarious about it. She's like a mix between a greyhound and a rabbit. When our miniature schnauzer was alive, he LOVED the dog park. He would just start taking himself for a walk around the perimeter. One of my favourite things is driving by the big dog parks and seeing all the dogs loving life and running around. Life is good!

She is beautiful. Has the same coloring as my boy! She looks like she loves the park.
Thank you! She loves anywhere that she can run free. :)
