Soo I'm getting a bit irritated with my lack of freezer space. With the human food, I can only fit about 10 pounds of raw for the pets in a month, maybe 15 lbs if I keep punching it in there

I come across so many great deals but have to pass due to my lack of space. I can't give much variety in a month span either since I can't fit much in there.

If you have your own freezer for the dog, where did you get it? I definitely don't need a full size freezer but I'm having a hard time finding a small freezer only in my area (most are refrigerators with a freezer section).

I got my 2nd hand chest freezer on eBay for $30 & it's a ripper - just run a search for freezer & set the distance to whatever you want from your zip code. For that sort of money, I don't care if I need a new one every year.

I have a deep freeze (chest style freezer) that I got at home depot new for around $100 that my landlord lets me store in the basement that I use to store the veggies and stuff that my family gives us from the farm so I add stuff there and I use most of my freezer space in our fridge upstairs. I don't buy a lot of frozen goods and I don't buy the meat that we humans eat any more than 2 days out so other than ice we don't use our freezer.

I have a deep freeze freezer and a fridge that has a freezer, those are both dedicated fully to my 4 dogs and 1 kitten. I got the freezer free from my uncle when he got an upright freezer, and the fridge from my grandma when she got a fancier type. So I'm very grateful for those. Before that I had the same situation as you! 4 dogs food stuffed in my freezer. I could never buy bulk, my husband complained that he couldn't get to his food due to the dogs food. But the only thing I found that would fit more, was to open the packages of meat and restore them in to freezer bag baggies. Then stuff and wedge them in like a puzzle. I would just label them well so I knew what was in each bag.

It seems to be one of those items (like treadmills) that a LOT of people buy and then realize they don't actually want
OMG you just reminded me, I HAVE a treadmill downstairs somewhere amongst the dozens of aquariums, full gymnasium of equipment, 100's of beautiful terracotta flower pots (all empty of course) antiques and heaven only knows what else I've collected and NEVER ONCE USED .... ah well, as long as it stays hidden HWMNBO won't start blustering on about my buying crazies as he always does to friends & has them in fits of laughter.

Right now we have an actual regular fridge out in our garage that we use the freezer just for "dog stuff," but we are on the lookout for a chest freezer too now that we have the space. Keeping an eye on CL, so in due time! =D
