Hello,

Our little Spock is an apple headed short coat Chihuahua weighing 1.05 KGs(2.3Lbs) at 14 weeks. We are currently feeding him 54 grams of Royal Canin Puppy mini split between four meals(9 am, 2 pm, 7pm and 12am, we sleep around 1 so he gets some play time before bed). We want to switch to Orijen Dry puppy food for small and medium puppies.
Is this recommended for lifetime use? Acana is available too(in India there aren't a lot of options to choose from). My main concern is that as per what i have read on Orijen's website you are supposed to serve 85grams(2/3cups) everyday. Thats almost 50% more than royal canin. Also royal canin reccomends reduction in frequency to 3 times a day from the 4th month and reduction in daily quantity to 39grams by the 10th month.
Please share your feedback.

If the food is labeled as a puppy version, then it is usually only formulated for the nutritional needs of puppies, but they should have an adult version that you could switch him to once he grows up.
