P.S. how may I show a pic or 2 here of our beloved sweetheart?

I'm so in shock and also a newbie here. Thank you all for being here. It will be a week tomorrow at 3:06PST that we had to let go of the sweetest girl in the whole wide world named CHULA, "TU TU".

Since I'm still choked up, here is my MOM's EULOGY to all of us.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My one and only beloved granddaughter Chula has been put
to rest today to join her friend, my one and only son Chorizo.
It has been a very sad and gut-wrenching week for my family
as Chula unexpectedly had a seizure on Wednesday evening and even though all her vitals were functioning except for a heart murmur after the seizure, she could not recover. The vets really don't know what happened except that she may have had a brain lesion for some time and/or encephalitis. Later this year, we know it will be Kiana's turn (my kids oldest cat of 16 years whose kidneys are beginning to fail) to join Chula and Chorizo.
My adult kids (daughter and son-in-law) were able to bring Chula back home on Friday and Saturday night with some rectal phenobarbital I believe, to keep Chula's twitching and seizures down, but unfortunately she was nonresponsive to the familiar things and people around her. They kind of knew this, yet, because everything happened so suddenly and she was NOT in any pain, they wanted some time with her to say their goodbyes. Chula slept next to them throughout the night. On Sunday, January 27, 2013, A very kind, gentle and compassionate vet that my adult children had known for years, came by, and assisted her passing while resting in my daughter's arms.
Chula was a very sweet, adorable dog with the cutest face
and mannerisms. She was a happy dog with her tail always
wagging not to just greet you but always wagging. Chula hardly
ever barked but when she did, it was to let you know that she was
either hungry, thirsty or wanting to go potty. She was very
expressive and even smiled at you, so good natured and very
smart. I only wish ChaCha (my 1st dog in over 60 years (3/4 chihuahua, 1/4 beagle, now 4-1/2 months old) could have learned from Chula how to bark for the same three things.
Just before Thanksgiving in 2005, Chula was found by my daughter wandering in the street, lost, cold and hungry. She went throughout the neighborhood inquiring if anyone had lost a dog. No one claimed her so she was adopted into an animal-loving family with three cats remaining out of four or five.
Chula was the FIRST doggie in the family. She got along famously with the cats as she fit in just fine like just another cat since she was pretty much the same size. Later on after being examined by the Vet, they determined Chula had been beaten and shot and she was lucky to have been found by my daughter René who adores animals and has rescued at least three cats from being beaten: Kiana, rescued and tamed a beautiful feral white cat Lenny and another who just wanted a different family named Rincon.
Being my first and only granddaughter I took Chula everywhere
and everywhere we went, people would come up to us and want to meet and pet her.
Over the last seven years I have watched this
sweet natured dog change people's negative opinions about
chihuahuas. She had the cutest face that everyone whom she met
fell in love with. The only place we got kicked out of was Costco
even though we had been through the store before. I loved that
most adorable, sweet special doggie as only a proud grandmother could and now my heart is broken again.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Enclosed pictures of
my beloved granddaughter Chula and my beloved son Chorizo.
A grieving grandmother.
Chula was a very lucky little girl to have found a wonderful, caring family. Thanksgiving was truly a great time for her and all of you. I am so sorry for your loss, and hope in time all your broken hearts will be healed. Wish the picture had shown up, we would love to see her.
Thank you to those who have shared their condolences so far. I finally was able to find where I could at least share Chula's photo with you so you could see her. I am going to presume if I want to share more photos that I have to pay the membership fee (which is NOT a problem). Today has been especially tough...we are all here missing her cuz during the week we worked, had appts to go to, etc). It's very tough today. Thank you so much everyone. Big hugs.
No ,I tried to pm you and it won't go through says you box is filled and you have to delete some, you don't have to pay to post pictures, you have to have a photo host site, like photo bucket, it is free, you upload your pictures from your computer, once you have done that, you click on the link, under your picture, the IMG one. It will say copied then you come back here and paste it in your post. I just check in and got your pm, but you box must be full. But if you want to pay that is okay too. :D
Evelyn you are a sweetheart. Funny thing I went to inbox cuz it says its 90% full, but there's nothing in it! How bizarre! Maybe my brain isn't functioning...well obviously not fully. Thank you 4 helping me try and get some photos up. I'll try again tomorrow since I'm rummy dummy now. Like I said, I have NO problem buying space or premium member...I can't even put an emoticon or change the font...tomorrow is another day I hope. Big hugs...René in chilly Seattle
P.S. now I can't send private messages anymore ;-(.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today, a week ago, we let our first special sweet dog go at 3:06pm. And some people really think I care about the Superbowl game. NOT! chula watched all the games with us...I'm so at a huge loss. I live in Seattle, three blocks off the West Seattle Bridge.
Just the other night I looked up in the sky! I "saw" CHULA formed in the clouds, with two stars as her eyes, twinkling. Something in me "knew" it was my Chula; my heart and soul felt lighter. You are right Lupita's mom, Chula IS an angel. I know she's up above with God and those that have passed before us that loved her and I know she has now become our angel! Until the other night...I was inconsolable. Thank you.
