Penny did something very un-ladylike today... A bird
flew into a bush near her and she didn't hesitate to snatch it. She came out of the bush happy as ever, wagging her tail. Poor bird. I had to pry the thing from her mouth... She loves to chase birds/squirrels so that was probably her dream come true. I gave her a thorough tooth brushing after!

Poor bird. Sometimes dogs do crazy things like that. My deceased beagle used to bring dead rats, birds, and other lovely creatures to our back door. We lives on a fully fenced two acres and he went insane for anything his little hound nose could smell and hunt.

Did Penny eat any of it?

Lexxi has killed baby birds that my cat knocks out of the tree in the backyard. And Abby found one hurt when the puppies were alive and was trying to mother it, trying to herd it over to the other puppies and being very gentle with it.
