There were loads of chis at the meetup today! I only got to take a few pics because SOMEONE was being a momma's boy and wouldn't play with his new friends, if you can believe that. I couldn't!!

Cooper did have fun and I sweat like I have never sweated before (ack... it's hot in Texas) and it was a good time!!

Here's the link to Cooper's photo gallery with his pics: http://coopers-kennel.com/Gallery/meetup8_05

Aren't meetups so much fun even in hot weather?? It looks like ya'll had lots of fun too :)
great pics cooper ! looks like great fun

kisses nat
Nice pics but maybe the poor guy was just too hot to play. Lily and I were sweating up a storm on our walk today (well, I sweated and she panted) and she was too hot to even argue when I wanted to head back to the car. I can't imagine the kind of heat you guys live with in the summer.
Today wasn't as bad as yesterday (heat index - 116) but it was still very hot. The yard had trees, so we were shaded pretty well but the sun and heat just zap all my energy because of the MS, so I had to collapse in a chair after a while. When I finally sat down and gave in, Cooper came running over and wouldn't leave my side from then on.

I was smart though; I had put a couple water bottles in the freezer last night, so I had two bottles of ice water for me and Coop... AND I had taken a hand towel, ran it under the sink just a bit so it was damp and wrapped it around one of the bottles. When I sat down, I opened Cooper's "puppy" bag and grabbed that towel, it was just about frozen. I can't think of anything that I've ever experienced that felt as good as that towel hitting the back of my neck.

I was wearing a pink shirt when I left the house for the meet-up. When I got home, it was a dark magenta color. Not a spot of pink left. I could have wrung the shirt if I was in the desert and I would have had plenty to drink for weeks.

Yeah, it was hot.

LOL MY grass isn't green; it's brown. We had the meetup at a couple's house. I can't take any blame for the lawn care.
I wish there was a meetup around here! :( That looks like fun!

You realize i have GOT to meet Cooper one of these days, don't you?
looks like there was a lot of :bootyshake: sniffing going on
Aww!! I wish I would have been able to come! My boyfriend just got back from Florida from an Internship for a month and a half!! haha so I wanted to visit with him. I REALLY want to make the next one, im glad it went well, coopers so darn cute!!
It looks like you had a great time. I wish we could have meetups like that around here.
Cute pics. I can relate regarding the heat. How well I remember!! Last August when I was at my Dad's the temp on the thermometer on his back porch reached 106 a couple of times - and that didn't even include the heat index factor.

Looking at Cooper with the other chis, I can see how stocky and muscular he is. He really doesn't look any longer or taller, but he is husky. He doesn't look fat though - he just looks like he could whip all their behinds in a heartbeat!

Cooper IS very muscular; mostly because I started taking him on 5-mile walks when he was a puppy. He loved them - me, on the other hand, well... we don't do 5 mile walks anymore LOL
Coop's a chunky monkey, about 1.5 - 2 lbs overweight but you're right... he's very stocky. And he probably could kick their behinds ... if he wasn't a big coward.

I'll be in DFW next week... the 17th - 24th or 25th. Cooper can meet you at the state line if you want. I'm sorry, but I'd have to come with him; he doesn't have a drivers license yet and he's no good at reading a map.
