When my pup is exhausted he gets really, really snappy at the cat. He'll lie down and as soon as the cat walks anywhere near the room he's in he'll get up, growl and rush the cat's face. I've tried telling him no, putting him in a time out and I usually end up putting him to bed in his crate. I've had Garbagio 6 months now and he's always done this. Anyone have any tricks on how to get that behavior to stop? Like I said, he's only like this when very tired (after playing all day or with other dogs)
Thanks!

What does he do when he gets to the cat? Does he attempt to bite? Does the cat leave? It maybe that he needs more 'personal space' when he is exhausted. If he is not actually hurting the cat, then I would leave the two alone to figure it out! If he is trying to bite, then I would put him away so he could rest. Sometimes when I am really tired I can't get to sleep! He needs to learn how to settle himself so he can sleep! Sue
