Bindi will NOT pee anywhere but home and on her puppy pad. We have done everything. I am worried cause we are going away and scared she wont pee or poo.

Even when we went down the shore this dog held it all day until we got home.

We might go overnight somewhere to see what happens (trial run), I cant imagine her holding her pee for 5 days.

I cant believe she is being so stubborn  this is our last hurdle with her too. *sigh* she has mastered everything else and is a wonderful dog except for this.

Bell had the same problem she used puppy pads and no matter what I did she would not go potty anywhere other then at home on her puppy pad. I think what it is is where we potty train them at a place they think if they go anyplace eles there going to get in trouble. I use to stay in hotel rooms alot before I got my own place in lexington and it was such a big thing because bell would not pee or poop. I never did break her from it the only thing that worked for me was taking her into the car and laying her puppy pad down and she would go potty. I think it was somthing she was use to that got her to go...Maybe somone eles can help...LOL

hmmmm... I used to be like Bindi and not go to the bath any where but home... My mom used to get so mad at me because we would be out for the day and sshe would go pee 5 or 6 times and I wouldn't go once...

Have you tried putting a pee pad in the front floor board of your car and putting her on it when you know she has to ggo.. I taught Gadget that when he was younger. If she won't go mayb take a pad that she used once out there and try it... even if you have to do it a few times a day so she will get the message that it is ok to go there... She might not know to go potty any where but her own potty pad.... I know it sounds funny but ya never know....

I don't think she will be able to hold it for 5 days... she will have to go sooner or later... Does Kemo go when you are away from home?

Good luck and God bless...

What a dilema. Gadgets mom's idea sounds like it is worth a try. Poor thing will definitely end up going sometime. Auggie has very fixed ideas about going potty too

Yes it does work...Poppy was always doing her business in the house only, until we went on a day trip and I took some newspaper with her pee on it with us! I got out the car and put the paper down and she went... :D

Kemo is outside trained and she practically sticks her nose in his stream of pee and she smells his poos and I had to resort to acting a loon when he goes so she would get the idea that it was a GOOD thing, still nothing.

Today we caught her in mid poop and she finished outside but its gonna take more than that. Even last night had her on the deck with a pad, and I knew she had to go cause she kept trying to go inside. I kept the door open so it would seem more like "inside" but still she would not go. (She cant go inside cause there are a flight of steps to actually get in)

Thing is she is smart, once she "gets it" I know it will be ok, its just getting her there and I often wonder too Theresa if she thinks she will get in trouble but I dont yell at her ever. She is really good.
