Hi All,

I had my guys transitioning to raw. They were both fine on the all chicken but once I started adding in other things Chloe started having issues. Some red meats she will eat and then throw up and then others (organs) she just licks and plays with and then doesn't eat. I persevered for a month and tried hiding it in things she liked but I just wasn't getting anywhere and I was worried that as a growing puppy she wasn't getting balanced nutrition so I relented and bought some ZP. Well to say she loves it is an understatement. I am currently using it alone in the mornings and then as a topper to a raw meal at night and that's where i'm struggling. She eats all the ZP and leaves the raw meat in her bowl and if i'm not on the ball Axle will take it (he's a little on the heavy side so i'm watching his portions).

Do you ZP feeders just feed it exclusively? Or is it part of a repetoir of other foods for balance and variety? Chloe would be happy to only eat ZP but I want to make sure she is getting the best nutrition and I do feel that is raw. Also I don't like feeding the two a different meal, I don't want to cause jealousy or have to watch them 100% of the time to make sure they are eating out of the right bowl. Do you suppliment your ZP with a bone a couple of times a week for dental health and variety? Do yo alternate the ZP flavours for variety?

I know I'm probably stressed for nothing but I just want my babies to have the best and to be good eaters. Chloe is on the thin side and is a tad smaller that Ax was at her age (she's 5 1/2 months now) and charting her from her 6 to 12 week old weights she should actually end up biger than him so I'm just a bit concerned that she's not getting what she needs.

I feed only ZP. Prey Model raw just is not for my lifestyle right now. I also had one with tummy issues and suffice it to say that I am VERY wary trying anything new with her so once I found something that worked, well, I stuck with it.

I used ZP as a kibble topper and mine did the same. Ate the ZP and left the kibble.

I started feeding ZP when my 2 oldest were about 5 months old. I wish I had known of it and tried it from the day they came home. That is what we did with Eden but she was already 8 months old. I wish they'd all have been on it since weaning!

My two oldest are about 18 months and weigh about 4 pounds. Eden was 1 in January and is 3.5 pounds. They LOVE it more than anything!!

I have fed nothing but the Venison. I did just get that deal on Venison and Fish but have only offered it a few times for training. I am nervous to try to switch but I will try.

It is a complete food so they are getting great nutrition. Puppies should get more than grown dogs. My girls now get a bit less than what they did when younger.

I have fed ZP for several months now and my two are doing great on it. I rotate flavors when I buy a new bag and have not had any isues changing flavors. I also feed the ocassional chicken wing and bully sticks for their teeth. Both Taz and Charlie's coats are wonderful. Taz is 8 months now and started getting a little plump after she was spayed so I am slowly decreasing the amount she eats until we get to where she maintains a healthy weight.

I don't feed ZP (except for the treats), but I did want to chime in and say that we've started giving Odie a raw bone every week for her teeth and she loves it. Since yours are already used to raw, they would probably take to that really well!

I already feed a chicken wing segment or a chicken neck 2x weekly in place of a meal and they both love it (Axle loves it a bit too much and tries to eat them in 1 or two bites), although i do find it binds them up a bit with the ZP as well, will probably feed that with a side of egg. i will continue to do that for dental health. it's just any other meat except chicken that Chloe has an issue with. If I chop it up really small and mix it with ZP she will eat and keep down pork, but beef or lamb either gets picked out or thrown up :(

She might have an allergy to Beef or lamb. My cat Huly would get sicke with in 48 hours of eating Salmon. We had a blood allergy test ran on him (as he also has other sinus issues) and he is allerigic to Beef, ALL SEAFOOD, Venison, Eggs, Corn, White Potato, Brewers Yeast, Tomato, Alfalfa, and Pumpkin.

I have never seen or heard of a cat that is allergic to seafood but trying to find food and treats for him has been difficult. I wonder if Chloe is the same.
