Hi everyone,
i would have posted this in the breeding section, but i have insufficient post to do so, :(
ok... first id like to say that this is a something that i'm don't take lightly and that i've put a lot of thought into, i have questions and i would also like any POSITIVE suggestions you may have :)
I was thinking of mating my little 2 year old male, Quatchi, i originally wanted to have a live-in gf, but because of a full house right now we are opting for someone else's little girl.
ok ...
first of all, my little boy humps his elephant teddy bear like a mad man and will some days go after it for hours on end, is it for sure that he will take to the female ?
the female is at the end of her heat, does this mean that it would be more difficult for her to conceive ?
i know that chihuahua size matters, the woman said it wouldn't matter, but my little Quatchi is a tad bigger then she is, and to my understanding the male should be at least 1 pound less then the female, could this injure her little female ?
and and last but not least, this would be my first time so i have no idea how payment works, she offered me an engagement ring in trade, would payment come only after the pregnancy is confirmed or right after the deed is being done ?
thank you so much for the taking the time to read this,

if anyone have any stories to share, i would love to read them.
thank you
:) :) :)

okay so this is my suggestion, first off, it is incredibly dangerous to breed a small female with a larger male, particularly if your unsure of the size of both parents on both sides. It could result in the puppies becoming too large for her to safely carry, which could kill both momma and the babies. Even in cases where the male is smaller than the female it is not uncommon for there to be issues, which could end up costing the other women thousands of dollars in medical fees. also if the female is under 5lbs it is inadvisable for her to be bred. If you want to breed him , I don't suggest you jump into it. Do a lot of research, generally you would charge a stud fee, which varies greatly based off of his pedigree and who he has papers with. Or you would request pick of litter. I also am going to state this, just as a caution, if the female is not responsive to him, once they are locked together she could really injure him. Yet again i cannot urge you enough to do your research on this.

oh and the stud fee would be paid after they successfully link up, whether she concieves or not is besides the point.
yea but that doesn't mean anything unless he is akc, or ckc registered... AKC is better than ckc. also you should be able to trace his lineage back three generations. I would also insure that he has absolutely no defects in his lineage. I cant blame you for wanting to breed, I was super tempted to myself... until i read more about it. Out of curiosity, how much does he weigh? If he doesn't have papers than you could still breed him, but i would probably only do it about one time, there's no point to breeding unless he's both registered and show man quality, because the cost you'd pay if their were complications wouldn't be worth it, as you couldn't sell the puppies as having papers. which would reduce the price a lot. plus I've heard that it changes the females personality quite a bit. When you select a girl, make sure you're sure about how big she will become. it would be really sad if you got her than she didn't grow large enough for what you want her to do.
I'm really sorry if you felt judged, that wasn't my intention at all! i love my baby girls with everything i have, and i was super super close to breeding my oldest girl, i loved the idea of having a piece of her with me for ever. The only thing that stopped me was her size, as an experienced breeder i know very well had both momma and babies die while whelping, is both scared me and broke my heart, if i spoke harshly at all, i apologize, i just didn't want you to risk losing your fur baby, or have him injured. wanting to keep a piece of your baby out there in the world forever is completely understandable!
