I guess I will just have to deal with it. It's frustrating because I'm not used to it. My parent's dog only barks when it's dinner time and when someone is at the door, other wise you wouldn't know she's in the same room.. So it's wierd to have someone whining just because you're not in the same room.

He IS doing better. He doesn't complain if I am not holding him. Hejust wants to be in the same room - and near - which is why I got chihuahua's.. beacuse of this lap dog, loyal quality. He just sits silently at my feet.. or more so, on them. But I have to admit - it's cozy and just perfect that way. :)

Gadget wants to be near me all the time too... but that is why I wanted him... He is such a loveable little fella :)
Shakira whines when she is away from me.. or when she is in another room too... aww i love the fact they are SO loveable and loyal!!
My Echo is attached at the hip to me. If I DARE go to the bathroom and leave her out she FREAKS and trys to scratch the door down!! I cannot leave her at home either she goes EVERYWHERE I go. Her favorite place to lay in the car is the back window!

Thanks for sharing your story and Welcome to the board!
Yep Auggie definitely wants to be near us or he whines. I love him so much it is a small price to pay for a dog that is so good otherwise
They are so smart...

Don't you also love the way they can be all snuggled down under the blankets, but when you move off the sofa, they immediately pop out to see what you are doing?

Dobbie is also good about telling me when his pee pad needs changing ! He will come out of the bathroom and whine - and whine again, until I go in there. Yes, he will use a pad more than once, but he doesn't like to step in the pee so when it gets "heavy", he reports it to me. LOL

Thats like Rosie, she wakes me up to tell me she has done a poo on her pad so i can clean it up, it was 2-30 this morning :D

Yes I do love the fact that they are so interested in what we are doing - though I am finding showering hard. He doesn't like to be in another room without me - but doesn't like to be in the bathroom while I take a shower. It's frustrating.. because now I have to rely on someone else to watch him for 10 minutes so I can take a shower. LOL.

Guiness is probably thinking, "Gee, Mom - why do you need to take a shower? Don't I give you enough of them in the day with my tongue? Aren't my tongue showers good enough?"

Maybe that's why he's whimpering?? hehe :)
Auggie even wanders in and out of the shower , there is no escaping him
Nina follows us everywhere we go, room to room in the house, but so far is not a very big barker. She will bark if she hears someone outside, or if we have her in the car and someone walks by.

I know she cries whenever my fiance and I leave her anywhere, until we come back, we left her with his parents and went out for a while, and they said she cried herself hoarse until we came back.

Our favorite thing she does is when she burrows under the covers when we go to bed, and there is no moving her. She lies right between the two of us, and if we go to snuggle, she wiggles her way between us an alternately licks us both. LOL. It is very cute, but sometimes makes private time difficult, if you kwim.. when those times happen, she has finally caught on and jumps down and leaves for another bed in the house.
