Reba's turn to get spayed - yikes!

 Poor little Reba - I called the vet's today to find out what their schedules were like. There are 2 vets in this clinic, and I decided I wanted one of them to do it and not the other. In the course of the conversation, I found out that the vet I wanted to do it was the only one in this week and had an opening tomorrow morning, so I grabbed it. My daughter is worried- it's the first night she and Reba have spent apart. I had to take her in tonite because we leave for work about 5:30 am. So, I had to pay extra for the isoflurane anesthesia and the blood work to make sure her liver and kidney function will tolerate the anesthesia well and I am also having her microchipped. So, she is a whopping 4.4 lbs going in. We will be keeping our fingers crossed all goes well and we can bring her home tomorrow.

Don't worry to much she is in good hands...
Good luck to little Reba! I had Chloe spayed a couple weeks ago. I picked her up the same day also. She came home and was running all over the place! She did great! She weighs only 3lbs, so I was concerned. No problem! :)
good luck for that pretty girl! keep us updated!
 hi all, Reba is home. She is a bit subdued, but seems to be happy to be home. She is also milking the "poor me" attention, but that's ok. I gave her a blob of Nutrical since she hadn't eaten for almost 24 hrs. She ate all her dinner tonite too. She whimpers a little if she has to stretch that tummy out to get somewhere, but so far, so good. By the way - Chiwi's "dirty looks" picture on the other thread is great - LOL!
Glad all is well, way to go REBA!!!
Glad that she did so well with her surgery.
Give her lots of TLC. :)
