Refusing to toilet outside!

Just a question for you..... did anyone have a problem with your babies going to toilet outside??!

I have been taking little Lola out for walks now and she flatly refuses to go toilet!! She has been trained using the puppy pads in my house and got the hang of that really well. But the other day we were out for four hours and she wouldn't go at all!! I took her to quiet grassy areas, encouraged her and even then no luck. I even took a puppy pad and put it down but nothing! She saved it all up until we got back home! I'm a bit worried because this weekend she'll be out and about with us all day as I'm moving house so she'll have to go sometime! Poor baby! Maybe she's just so posh and discreet she doesn't like going in public!!
Do you think she will eventually or what else can I do!!?

Thanks

Yes, she will eventually. When she reaches the point she can't hold it any longer probably.
Be persistent! My first puppy was wee wee pad trained and I kept brining out the pad outside, he would peed on the pad eventually...then I kept cutting the size of the pad until it was a tiny square...by then, he had gotten the hint...grass=potty=fun!!

Good Luck! :D
Friday refuses to go outside too! At first, she did just fine, but then, when it got cold and rainy, she wouldn't step on the wet grass. Then, I trained her to go on her training pads, which she picked up very well. Now, there is no way she will go outside! Plus, I live in an apartment complex, so if there is any unknown noise at all, anyone other then me around, she won't go.

But on a cuter note: she tends to wait to potty (when I am home) until I can see her because she knows she will get a treat! And yesterday, I caught her trying to fake it so she would get a treat. She squats and just tinkles a tiny bit, and then looks over at me to see if I noticed. I finally caught on to her game!
try putting a pad outside where you want her to go.. I did that with Gadget and he started going potty out there on his own.. he still usees the pads in the house... I think he will always use them... it is funny because he used to pee on my chair legs out there.. and then I put a big rock out there by the chairs and he started going on it and then I moved it over to where I had the potty pad at first now he goes on it.. it is nice because I don't have to worry about him being outside and not going.. he soemtimes goes when we are walking but not usually... it was funny we were at the memorial day bbq here at the park and there were other dogs there and he had to walk around marking the area... I didn't know he was doing this I was playing horse shoes.. and Mark told me after words... he's becoming a big boy...

Princess does the same thing! She refuses to go outside by all means! We were recently traveling and I thought, "she'll be fine we can just stop at the rest stops and she'll go potty" but no way she refused. Eventually I had to put the potty pad down in the car at the rest stops, let her use them, and throw them away immediately.

She also does the fake pee pee trick. Sometimes I come home from work (on the days she doesnt come with me) and will notice theres not much business in her box and go about my cleaning. A few minutes later I see her staring me down just outside the box so I turn and look at her and she jumps in a does her business. Then shes immediatly happy dancing for her treat. And occasionally she'll jump right back in and squat again, I fell for it for a while but now I've caught on that she just wants another treat b/c the litters not even wet. Sneaky girl!!!
I have the same problem with Bindi she holds it all day. She is "only when she feels like it" going outside on a pad. One time we were walking her and she pooped, that was the first and last so far. Its frustrating cause when I got her it was too cold to take her down all the steps etc etc .
Kemo will pee on command, I love that - I can only hope she will catch on more as we are going away soon too. I would be happy if she would pee on command on a pad at least I could count on that
Jasmine was doing so well with going potty outside before I started back to work. She would potty outside during the day, and on her pad at night, or if I was gone for a while. Now, she hardly ever goes potty outside when I take her out. She only uses her pads, and actually doesn't even go much at all during the day when I'm gone. It's like she saves it all up till I get home!

But I just decided not to make a big deal our of it with her. I won't be working too much longer, anyway. And at least she goes on her pad, and not on the carpet or tile. She hasn't had an accident in a long time.

Also, I have noticed when I have her out somewhere, like at the YMCA or the park, she never goes potty. She waits till we get home, then heads straight for her pad.
