So as some may kno that tiny, penny, and I are moving and we are moving to a 1 bdrm apartment. Unfortunately our unit has no grass, it has wood chips instead :( so I'm trying to potty pad train tiny and penny. It's very hard to try to train them because they have always gone outside and are very good at it. I bought pads that "supposedly" smells like grass but it doesn't help. Today I bought a potty training spray and it still doesn't work. The girls really need to go right now and I'm pointing at the pad saying potty (they love that word) but tiny just looks at me with a confused look. Sometimes they even make a bed/nest out of the pad too :/ I hope I dnt confuse them to start peeing on blankets :( (penny was confused when I first got her and peed on my blankets, she was a little pad trained but was quickly trained to go outside and did excellent). Has anyone switched potty methods before? And how did you do it?

There is, its just at night. It's not a very safe community. My bf wants me to pad train them so that they won't have to go outside at night.

Mine started going outside in our gravel (that's mainly what we have here in the Florida Keys for yards). But then I got lucky and hubby let me put in a great grass area...so now they potty on either. I think once they learn to go outside, the actual surface area is not so important. Mine will go in wood chips too if need be (we just don't need to often).
If you are wanting an inside area, I saw a "grass" pad on GW Little (web or catalogue) that looks promising (I considered it for the back patio for when we get the torrential rains and they refuse to go out).
Good Luck :)
