I am thinking of switiching Gizmo to Royal Canin Chihuahua at the recomended 8 months...

I also saw they have it for poodles...and it seems to have all the stuff needed for senior poodles...my Joey's eyes are really opaque...he doesn't have cararacts but he can't see well.....anyhow it seems to fit his needs well...anyone have a Poodle or know of anyone who has tried it?

Also Royal Canin for Chi's...it says nothing of helping their coat...Giz has dry skin...has it helped for any of your babies skin and coat? He loves science diet puppy...but I don't think it's doing much for his skin...I have to supplement with Linatone plus...that's how his hair has grown in again...

Jasmine eats the RC puppy food now - as soon as this bag is finished, I'll switch her as she is over 9 months now.

However, I may have to switch from RC - I've been unable to find a pet store anywhere close to me that carries RC. I bought what I have now at Petsmart in Orlando, but that is almost an hour drive. I may be able to order online, haven't checked that yet.

Does anyone feed Wellness, and if so, how do you like it? I can get Wellness at our local Petsupermarket here.

www.petfooddirect.com sells the Royal Canin food, including the Chihuahua28 formula. are you close to a Petco? because they sell the royal canin also.

i feed Chico Wellness and he is doing very well on it. his coat is very smooth and i'm very satisfied with it.

Bella is on Royal Canin Natural Blend holistic and she loves it...her coat is very shiny and feels like silk.......I also have my Terri-poo on it and her lipoma ( fatty tumor) reduced in size which may just be a coincidence .

I feed all of mine the RC for chis. They love it! Callie was prescribed some Omega 3 Fatty Acid oil for her coat that I put on their food once a day. Their coats normally look great but right now they are due for a bath.

Callie was prescribed the Omega 3 fatty acid oil because her skin was soooooo dry. That has helped tremendously. I bathe them with Banana Oatmeal Dog Shampoo. It has a chihuahua on the front. :D It says it soothes dry, flaky skin.

Annabelle actually has the opposite problem. She is greasy. :? I don't use this shampoo on her and she doesn't get the Omega 3 fatty acid oil on her food. I actually bathe her with Dawn Dishwashing liquid in the Wildflower Medley scent. :D It works really well on her since it cuts grease. LOL!

I feed Flirt Wellness for puppies. She is an extremely picky eater. I had a terrible time getting her to eat until I found Wellness. She loves it. I prefer the ingredients in it over Royal Canine though.

I use Dermal Soothe (from my Vet) for Flirt. Since she has CVA her skin gets flaky looking, but doesn't itch. This shampoo is supposed to help this, but does anybody have any ideas for lotion? I heard no lanolin since that will clog the poors.

Seiah is on the Rc puppy formula and his coat has done a miraculious change. He was on Authoritive before (people told me it was a really good brand) but Seiah's hair was getting dry and almost grayish. Now it's a shiny black coat.
