Hey,
I just got some Royal Canine dog food today for my girls....its specifically designed for chihuahuas. Has anyone ever heard of this brand and if so is it good?
My three seem to really like it!

I've never heard about it but it sounds cool! A brand of dog food just for chis, cool! :D
royal canin

it's a very good brand royal canin, it's about same quality as eukanuba or hill's.
i got it too for paris....because it's so little.....

kisses nat
Thanx everyone. Guess i missed that one thread where everyone talked about it
My three seem to really like it so we will see how well they do on it
I just saw the chi breed myself at the store -- i use the puppy one now...was very excited about the chi one! :D
yeah i plan to switch my girl to the royal canine puppy then to the chi food. i love that it has extra stuff added for joints and tarter control! i haven't asked our vet's what they think about it yet but i will and i'll let everyone know what they said....
Thanks Vala for posting the link to that thread. I'm so glad I don't have to go through all that again.

It's great food! The only drawback is the price and the fact that I can only find it in 3lb. bags. That doesn't go far when you are feeding 3 chis. Actullay only 2 of mine are on it now but as soon as Annabelle runs out of what she is eating now, I'll switch her.
i've been looking and it seems they only make a 3 pound bag for chi's....
i contacted the company but i have yet to hear back....
I think Royal Canin is a great food ( the whole range) :)
I feed mini junior to my boy :)
( just wish you could buy the Chi stuff in the uk , i've spoken to Royal canin and they say there is no plans to sell the chi stuff in england )
Never heard of this before, never seen it either. :? Do they sell it in pet stores???
Ohh, I found it

it's also for "STOOL ODOR RELIEF" Optimize the Quantity and Odor of the Stools

Oh my.....that seems a good kind of food. :)
I feed my Pearl Royal Canin Baby and she loves it. I never thought about the poop thing before, but she has 2 bm's a day, nicely formed, and now that you mention it not very smelly!
every store i check with only has the 3 pound bag but it did say on that site posted above that it comes in 3 and 15. hmmm now just to find it...
I have Chloe on the Royal Canin. She loves it! Actually, it is the only brand she will eat----very picky girl  I have on ly found it in the 3lb bag also, whats up with that??? Why is the one just for Chi's more expensive than all the others??? :? My Vet said that it is EXCELLENT food. :)

I did notice that Chloe's "poop" is smaller.....unfortunately it still don't smell like violets!! It is cheaper at PetsMart.

That made me LOL! You are so right. :D
They only come in the three pound bags...i asked the pet store owner about it. My dogs are really loving this new pet food so I think I will stick with it :D
