i managed to get intouch wiht a breder in pa (far but not too far from me and shes willing to deliver the pup free!) she is expecintg a small (3 pups tops) longhaired pups, the mother is blue and carries the merl gene and the father is a tan that carries the blue geene very strongly.
the litters due at the end of may and should be small the mothers 4lbs and the fathers 3lbs. so hopefully there will be a pup that will be about vixies size.
so shes gonna send pics as soon as there born (or close too) and i should get pick of the litter.
so fingers crossed for me, ive been looking ot get a second chi for a long time now, i think id like a small male, just so i have one of each (and to avoid any dominance issues vixie might have lol) and hopefully hell start alreting too in which case i dont have to worry if vixies showing that shes gonna fel the need to be on duty at the same time.
itll be nice to have someone her size to play with, my parents spaniel just gets too rough.

thanks for the extra warning, im lucky i grew up aorund chi breeders so ive been watching much carefully. so far ive never seen health problems in any of the blues (vixies a blue sable too) though i do know dilutes tend to have issues.
the mother is blue but the father only carries blue which lowers anychance of the broplems that can occur with breeding 2 dilutes, and the father carries no merle avoiding problmes that occur breeding 2 merles (ive seen som very unhealthy puppies from les than ethical breeders which terrible conditions due to breeding 2 merles, and deafness is only the tip of the iceburg :)
but thank you for the warning and its definatly something for poeple to be aware of

shes also going for good price with this litter, shes very nice and has given me none of the "teacup" or "rare blue and merle genes". and shes a freind to the woman that sold me vixie.

lol, im sorry, im somtimes not as clear as i could be, my mind works faster than my fingers can and opps there i go lol.
the breeder i got vixie from i knew personally for a long time, i did see vixies mother in person and vixie when she was born. then when it came time to bring her home she was shipped from oklahoma to ct
however this breeder is in pa which is a little closer, im hoping to get some pics when the litters born and for the first couple of weeks and then at aprox 2-3 weeks take a long weekend and go visit. but being this breeder is aclose frined to the breeder that i got my girl from i do trust her, ive met her before, shes another who is very much against breeding anything but the standard and very very against the whole teacup issue, and chargin extra for the 'rare colours' i saw this woman go off on one woman trying to see a chi for over $700 because it was a 'rare blue' shes a nice lady, if i lived closer id be working with her as she offered me a position as her help for the puppies (you need more hands when you have 25 and a litter on the way lol.)
but again thanks.
its good to know that people pay attention to these things and want the best for all involved. and its also good to know people are learning thigns from the forums chat and breeding sections and such.

and youll never guess what, i already have a buyer for one from vixies first litter if i decide to breed her...and thats at least a year away yet lol! she has to get her championship before ill even think about breeding her lol.
