So, Fenrir is booked in to be spayed on Friday. I'm worried, naturally. Any tips? I keep thinking 'he's going to be scared I've given him up' and other such stuff. Stupid, really.

He's almost 6 months now, and the vet said he's fine to be done. What age did you get your chi spayed, and how was it? I am going to walk him down there (it's only five mins away) but take a crate to bring him home. Good idea?

Every chi responds differently.

Our girl was back to normal the next day, our boy was absolutely pathetic the first day but back to normal the next day.

Neuter is far less invasive (boys) than girls spay so I hear on average they bounce back faster.

It's a rather routine operation, just prep him, take a blankey or toy of his liking. He knows you'll be back.
