Well this has been a crazy week. Stella got spayed on Tuesday. I was very worried given her size, but seeing how Pedro is still around and unaltered, we could not risk her going into heat. She did great, I picked her up around 5 Tuesday evening. She slept until Wednesday morning. The only problems we had was with her e collar. She is so tiny that it was dragging on the ground, so she couldn't really walk in it. We tried putting a onsie on her, but even the preemie sized ones are way to big, and the second the e collar is off, she immediately tries to chew her stitches. So we got her a soft e collar, and since then she has been fine. No signs of discomfort at all. In fact, I have to keep her tethered with a leash or else she tries to run around like a knucklehead.

Those soft e-collars sound like a really great alternative to the traditional e-collars.

I'm so glad to hear that Stella recovered nice and quick! Good job taking responsibility and getting her spayed right away since she was going to be around an unaltered male.

Our vet gave us a soft e collar because the regular ones were too big for Toby. He only needed it for one day, then he forgot all about the incision. That was a neuter though, I don't know how it is with spays. Good luck to you and Stella.

Yeah, it's amazing. I've always heard they are such big babies for this kind of thing. She's upset that she can't run around. I guess we got
