This breeder shows her dogs. She has new boys just born. I was wondering if either of these are good. The second boy is a long coat. Is a person able to choose when they are this young? Or is it better to wait until later?

I couldn't even begin to tell you if they are show worthy, but they sure are cute little Munchkins! : )

I like the first 3 the best, as far as coloring. : ) #2 and #3 are my faves.

It's really too young when they are that age. The absolute minimum age you can "start" to predict show quality, if you're very experienced, and know your lines, is 8 weeks. 6 months is the standard age to start labeling pups as "show prospects" and 10 or so months, "show quality". The first 3 all look like dilutes, which won't show well. The last will be the best coloring-wise for show IF he gets black pigment. If not...I'd keep looking :)

Got it. I'm going to a show on Aug 6th, hopefully that will get me some idea what and where to look. I'm just anxious to get started. I'm in central California.
