Poor baby, it must've scared the heck out of her. 
I know you must feel just awful but accidents do happen. Nobody's fault. I don't know anything about tail injuries but these other folks seem to be offering some good advice. If you're still concerned, I'd run her to the vet's for a check, just to be sure. Please keep us posted on how she's doing.
