So, I bought a slightly-used Thundershirt for my "slightly-used dog" (Lacey, onviously) on Ebay. It arrived yesterday, but I waited until today to try it on her. I didn't think it was helping calm her at all, until I witnessed THIS. You must understand, this dog hides everything I give her to chew and never lies down out in the open.

In other news, Zombie Chihuahuas are attacking Massachusetts residents' laps:

(Is this normal relaxing Chi behavior? She always does this. She'll flop on her back and stretch herself waaaaay out and then stretches her front legs down between her back ones and stays there for hours.)

(Is this normal sleeping Chi behavior?)

While on the topic of sleeping Chihuahuas, Lacey gets irritated when the Mumarazzi get camera-happy and decides to try hide herself.

And one last picture for the sake of "awwws"

She's just so cute! She looks like she is smilling in that first picture! If you find the thundershirt worth it, please let me know, I have a few I would like to try it on, mostly for separation anxiety, though Delilah is terrified of fireworks.
Yes, mine love to sleep that way. Especially Reggie, he will sleep all day on his back in the crook of my arm if my arm didn't go numb after a while. And a bunch of the others sleep that way, too.

Glad to hear someone else has funny-sleepers! I will definitely let you know if the Thundershirt helps. She definitely seems more confident walking around the apartment. Either she's just in a good mood today, or the shirt is working. I got it for separation anxiety, so hopefully my landlord won't have to tell me my "cat howls when I leave" anymore. :D

This is a Thundershirt:
Thank you, Pam. And I watched it. Also, saw the pic of Lacey sitting there chewing her chewy when she does not normally do that, but I can't see for the life of me how that shirt can help with separation anxiety and fear? I wish it would because Lulu suffers from that terribly.

I just witnessed a miracle. My mom's cousin, Anne, knocked on my apartment door and Lacey didn't even flinch. I carried her to the door, and she actually let Anne pet her and didn't try to hide her face or shrink away. Thank you Thundershirt! WOO!

It's basically a pressure-wrap. The closeness of it is comforting to the doggy wearing it. It is DEFINITELY helping Lacey's confidence, if nothing else. She actually came into the bathroom while I was drying my hair this morning, too, and she's normally terrified of cold floors.

Yay!!! Looks like I'm getting a few for Reggie, Chumley, Smoke, Isis and Delilah. Gee, more things to spend my money on. :)
They're so expensive (and I couldn't even get my 20% discount for working at Petco since they don't carry XXS in-store), but so far, I'd say that it was money well-spent! Try looking on Ebay before buying any online. They're about $10 cheaper. I got mine for $20 because someone had bought it and it didn't fit their dog properly. They only used it a handful of times.

I am amazed. We call Lulu our dog with issues, and separation anxiety is one of them. I need to look into this.
