I posted about picking up a puppy from a breeder that lives 14 hours away. We researched it and decided it will be best for the puppy if we wait until puppy is 14 weeks and has had 3 rounds of the distermper-parvo vaccine. The vet felt it was risky to put a 12 week old through a 14 or 15 hour drive and then introduce the puppy to a new home also. She will need all 3 rounds of distemper-parvo and be old enough for her immune system to handle long drive and a new home.

I think that is the right decision. Thank you for caring about your puppy's health more than you want for immediate gratification. You are going to be a great chi mommy! Please keep us updated and let us know when she comes home!!!

Nor me Christie, but I sure as heck admire those who can, they're a heck of a lot strong than me. You're not a Scorpio too are you? When we want something, WE WANT IT NOW!!!!!
