I adopted Bear under the impression he was "full" chihuahua. Something just isn't letting me think hes 100% chi. (not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, just curious) Anyways, Bear is around 4lbs. His coat, however, is very coarse, not like his super soft ears. I'll add a pic of him, and lemme know what you think! Thanks in advance!

I'd agree that he's probably not a purebred Chi. The coat and shape of his muzzle don't look full Chihuahua. I'm not sure what he might be mixed with. He's still a handsome devil, though!

He looks like a chi / terrier mix, same as my Lily. Lily has that same scruffy / wirey course coat.

He does look mixes to me as well. Maybe with a type of small terrier. He is really cute tho, he looks to be full of mischief and fun, just the way i like them always good for a giggle!

I was going to suggest terrier, but didn't want to sound like a fool if I was wrong. :lol: Musing is probably right, especially comparing to her Lily. Her and Bear look to have similar facial traits.

LaceyGirl- I think you're right about the chi/cairn mix. I'm thinking that its mostly chi, maybe one parent was half chi/cairn and the other full chi. His personality is 100% chihuahua!

chorkie? Very cute no matter what !! Alot of people try 2 sell pooches here as purebred chi's, when i got one of my girls i was told she was full chi and i knew she was'nt but i still got her anyway lol, the way she clinged 2 me when i first met her i just knew she was going 2 be my liddo baby!!

Pedro (in my siggy) is half Chi, half Cairn terrier.

Yours is part terrier, as well...Most likely a wire haired type.

aww he's defo not a full purebred but that doesn't matter. He's got some terrier in him by the looks of it
