We managed to fit a couple of walks in today, which we both were glad for! Back to normal routine tomorrow!

All snug in our new home;

I luffs this super soft blankie mom bought just for me;

We are all snuggled up, ready to go to bed in a minute! Night all xx

Yay to the new garden! You both look nice and chilled :) hope you have a good (and well deserved) nights sleep!
Thanks Lianne :) its so nice to be able to let her out in the garden for a wee in the morning, not have to get dressed, get her dressed and then go out for a walk!
Hope you and Max are doing well, how are you finding the Bachs? xx

No it just didnt work for Honey. She is wearing the DAP collar now, i must say i can see some definite improvement - at the vets, on walks and in general, she is a lot calmer. With positive reinforcement at all times, she is definitely less fearful in general!
At the vets, she even turned her back on the vet and was just going about her business, having a good old sniff of everything - just wouldnt have happened weeks ago...

Wow, you must have had a busy weekend!! Glad you have a nice garden for Honey and that it makes things easier for you.
Thanks melissa, very busy but chilled now :)

That's great news!! I wonder if one of those collars would help Max be less stressed in the car? What are they like, are they bigger than a normal collar?

Rachel, I'm glad the move went well and that you're all settled in! We just moved in July so I know how great the feeling is to be "home!" Those pheromone collars worked well for a chi I had Gatsby. I used to get the $10 ones from WalMart and could actually get two collars out of the "one size fits all" adjustable one. While not the same as a DAP collar, adding a drop of lavender oil to their collar is also effective.
Anyway give Honey a hug for me! You must've been so proud of her at the vets. Mine will tolerate exams but give me stink eye the whole time LOL!

I want to come and visit your home! Looks lovely in the pictures, I imagine very retro and vintage, with colour, and Sesame Street and muppets! :) All the doggies swarming around me – yes please!

I actually read from one of your posts how you got two uses out of the collar – ive got just about 2 uses with Honeys collar, so im going to create a collar when this one comes out! Did someone say arts and crafts!? :)

I took her for a check up about 4 weeks ago now, likewise she tolerated the eyes and ears being checked, but not her tummy – ooo there was nearly a snap!

So ive been taking her in every week like I did when she was a pup, to overcome her fear of the place. With the DAP collar and yummy cheese from the Vet, we are definitely getting somewhere! Thankyou xx

Rachel if you ever happen through Illinois don't hesitate to drop by! =D My home means so much to me because I know it's a constant work in progress. Keeps my anxiety levels in check when I can always find something to do. We absolutely love company, too; and rarely does a guest ever leave with an empty stomach. ;)

This is a weird thought, but have you ever used a thundershirt on Honey? They're marketed toward dogs with storm anxiety but really the pressure is calming in any situation. I haven't tried one out, but one of my friends swears by them whenever she takes out one of her fosters to socialize. Every little bit helps!

Here's a pic of her in it;

It seems chunkier than a normal collar, but she soon got used to it! X

Thanks for the picture of the collar (and sorry for the delayed response!)

It doesn't look as big on her as I expected. Defo sounds like it could be worth a try for us!

I googled it and it looks like it could help Honey, and Max aswell! It makes them feel calmer, safer and more secure - so it helps them in their day to day life. So here's hoping!!
