So hubbeh comes back from work and says: Jan new puppies. She says we can have her... *shows a picture of a beautiful black with white chest chi mix*

Needless to say, we brought FILA home She's being a handful and getting along with Nike really well, at least until treat time... Hubby wont let me crate train her since she wails so I guess I'll keep a hawk eye on her 24/7 :S

there's no way I was gonna say no to puppies if hubby was offering. Usually I have to do a paragraph of convincing!

in the crate she goes!!! i put her on the pad repetitively. nope. she walks two inches off and starts peeing. gotta strategize! you think it's safe letting her go outside before her shots? bunch of dogs with untreated worms in this area! can't wait to move!

it's not the worms i'm afraid of. it's the fact that they dont seem to care enough to take a sick dog to the vet...or pick up their poop. I hafto pick up after them

at least we're moving into our own home in june... hopefully!

Edit: Finally decided if she does end up with parvo, I'll take her to the vet first symptoms. I heard puppies just die from dehydration and immediate vet visits have a 95% success rate. She's a healthy puppy right now so I think we can handle it if it comes down to it. Just need to keep her away from other dogs and their mess! Chances are, there are a couple of puppies here who are fine, so FILA will be fine too!

bah! so i gave them breakfast, and take Nike and FILA out. Neither of them want to do their business and I just "knew" it was Nike's time. I put FILA in the crate, and take Nike out. 30 mins later, nothing. I put Nike back in and take FILA out. 15 mins. nothing.
Ok, so I get the feeling I should take Nike out again, so I go in and Nike has pooped on the floor (she refuses to poop on the pad). So i take my eyes off FILA for literally 15 seconds to clean it up. I find FILA who just peed on the carpet.

I swear they're teaming up on me!

Yay my training paid off. She just hopped off the couch and before i could pick her up, she went to the pad on her own and peed! GOOD GIRL!!!
