Did anyone use this for their puppy?
I would like to transition puppy off the Iams puppy she is feeding the chihuahua I am going to be getting tomorrow to something healthier. My girls are on Wellness Sm Breed Adult. Just wondering what the best puppy brand is?

I was feeding wellness puppy, but I read a couple posts about it having a bad affect on the coats. IDK if there's any correlation btw the food and the coats, but that's just what I read... Also, the kibble was too big and hard for Miya. I'm feeding innova puppy for now. I do feed wellness puppy treats cuz she loves them.

You can check out foods here (I pulled up best puppy foods for you:
Best Puppy Foods

You can search foods that you plan to feed or search by number of stars as well.
Very interesting Wellness not on there. I am changing foods, have to go to town I will see what my feed store sells on this list. I wish they say how the puppies liked it too Amberleah so picky. Not good Amberleah will be 1 24th of this month. :foxes15: I am keeping her on puppy another 6 months to a year longer.

I am considering changing up Miya's food every 7 months or so. I want to talk to my vet first to make sure that's not a bad idea. It seems like a good idea seeing as different food have different benefits and it'd be good to keep a mix in there...like I said..gotta talk to the vet first.

Honestly my girl chi's on Wellness have the softest shiniest coats I have ever seen. It is the main reason I switched them to that brand because I'd read a lot of happy reviews for chis on Wellness Adult! Previously they were on Blue Buffalo (on the 5 star list) but they did not like it at all and would barely eat.

Wellness Puppy is not on the 5 star list but is on the 4 star list. My girls are SO picky I'd hate to try to find another food they like. They really love their food now.

I continue to hear great reviews on Fromms. I just wish they had sample sized bags of it so I wouldn't have to waste $20 praying they will eat it.

My new pup Padi came to me eating Wellness Puppy for small breeds... he really seems to enjoy it as does my older female when I'm not looking.. I know that my 7 year olds coat has improved since Padi has arrived.. I have to credit the higher fat content food. But after talking with my vet, I may be changing foods if the stools do not begin to decrease. Padi is having a BM 4 and sometimes 5 times a day.. that just seems excessive.
