What are the odds?

I'm getting another chi soon(as my ticker shows^^) and I really want a boy. Is it common to always have atleast one boy in the litter? I got very lucky with my baby Snap, because he was the only boy and other people wanted him.

PS
The momma chi is expecting to deliver any day now!

Oops! I think my ticker is off a bit!! Oh well, I think I'll just reset it fromt he time the baby chi is born to four months.

it all depends - how big is Mommy and Daddy is this her first litter - what is the usual size of her litters - some chis only have one pup where others have 2, 3 or 4 usually - if it is only one I suppose the chance is 50 50 of wether its a boy or a girl there is not much you can do other than wait and see - good luck and keep us posted :wave:

Chi's sometimes only deliver one pup? wow, i didn't know that. i thought they had at least 3 or 4 in every litter.

my grandmothers friend used to breed pekinese (sp?) and there would be at least 4 in every one of her litters. but then again, the mom and dad were big pek's.

i only have exp with cats having babies. when cinnamon had her babies (only one litter, happened by accident) she had 5 babies....ALL BOYS! I really wanted another girl kitty...lol. instead i got my Gizmo and he's such a great cat, wouldn't trade him for the world!

Five boys?? Whoa! I won't mind if I get those kind of odds when iget my new chi soon^^ I'm so happy with snap as a boy that I don't know what to do with a girl. Boys are supposed to be more loving and better with children. My baby has been nothing but :D

Well, i think it all depends on how you raise them. girl or boy i think they could be good with children if they are raised around them and/or taught not to play to rough. when i was a little kid, my baby sitter had a girl chi named Lucy. Lucy was about 6 years old when i was first brought around her and she just adored me...she was never around kids before either.

I hope you get your boy though :D and i can't wait to see pics!

I don't know about the possiblities of a boy chi or girl chi, but you're so lucky to be getting a new baby!!! Congrats!!!

Thanks^^ Yeah, I guess that's true. But now all my name ideas are for boys so it's going to be hard finding girls ones!! :?
