Dear Kalisee,
It was exactly one week ago when we opened the door and our neighboor friend came in with a box. It was a surprise for my daughter. I knew what he was bringing and I knew my daughter would be absolutely thrilled. It was all she had been talking about for years. He put the box on the floor and my 11 year girl peered into it and squealed "I cant belive it! My dream! It's come true!!!"
I looked over her shoulder and saw this little white creature with big floppy ears, a big black nose and shiny black button eyes. "Its a chihuahua" he said proudly...and all I could think was "Oh yuck". We had agreed that we would finally get our girl a puppy for which she longed for. I never thought to say, anything BUT a chihuahua.
I am sorry my little one. I did not know that "oh yuck" would turn to "oh joy!" in a matter of minutes. I am not exaturating...it only took a few short minutes for me to fall head over heals for you.
As I type this, you're laying on a little blue pillow next to me. I swear you have grown double in 7 days. I see your perfect little nails and your pink skin glowing through your white coat. Youre so precious.
Today you went to the pee pad quite a few times. It almost makes me not notice that you also peed on the shag rug a few more.
I love when you like to snuggle..I have to admit, I can do without when you act like a tazmanian devil and bite and bite and bite. I hope you stop that soon. I cant believe how smart you are. You learned your name and come whenever we call you. Its amazing that you were petrified to come to any other room but the living room for 6 days, and then today you ventured out and explored every single room of the house like you owned the place..you do now!
Next week we are going to visit a very cute lady that will listen to your heart, check your teeth. She loves you, thats why she might pinch you a bit with a pointy stick.
You are officially my second child and I think that the words of my daughter (your sister now) "My dream has come true!" have become my words. Only I didnt know I had such a wonderful dream!! :grommit:
