I have been having trouble for a week with Amberleah not wanting to sleep anymore in her crate, She has been sleeping in the crate since 6 weeks old and now 7 months old. She screams for hours and just tares her crate up at night when I put her in there. She gets a treat every night and runs right in , put then as soon as I walk away she screams loud. I tired putting crate in bed room with us but didn't help. I tried to let her sleep out of crate on her day time bed but just cry's wanting me to pick her up and play.
My husband can't sleep with her screaming and he gets up at 5:30 am and works 13 hours days so he needs his sleep. I tried bringing her to bed with us, that my husband hates. and she wants to play all night. so that doesn't work at all. I just don't know why she changed and wont to go to sleep. I keep her up during the day and play with her before bed to get her sleepy.

No she not yet, still waiting on U of M to get back with me about her genital problem. They now want me to take her to my vet get blood sample and have them send it to them and do testing for free, but I have e-mailed the lady few times about where my vet needs to send sample. Then I am going to have my vet take x-ray of area.

It really could be adolescent behavior. If it is, then getting her spayed will help with it.

I'm not sure if you're into homeopathic stuff, but there are calming tablets and scents made for dogs. I've used them before and saw a bit of a difference, especially at bedtime. My pups would decide at midnight to engage in a fun game of chase! That stopped with the calming scents.

Have you tried putting a hot water bottle in the crate with her? I did that with Ichi and it helped. He snuggled up with it, especially when it got colder out. Also, try putting a towel over the crate. If there are distractions setting her off, it might stop her.

Otherwise, get things settled with the vet. That will probably be the real solution to this.

This is Amber leah just being a brat bijoux is doing the same thing right now.

You need to get her tired play with her and give her a long walk before bed she needs to be put on a schedule and a long walk to tire her will really help her anxiety by making her too tired to want to do anything but sleep.

Make every effort you can throughout the day to tire her out, take her to the park, exercise her hide her favourite treat throughout the hosue so she will use her mind to find them.

These are all things that will help her become mentally stimulated so she will be more willing to go to bed, a tired dog is a good dog.
Thank you for all the tips. I will try them all.
