My boyfriend found this white loooong thin curled up thingy, best described as a chowmein noodle (sorry to ruin that for anyone!!) It looked like it had saliva on it. It was on my chi's little bed. My chi's been dewormed twice. The wormy thing was obviously dead, it didnt move. I think his belly feels hard, my boyfriend things that its in my head. So Im going to the vet to pick up dewormer. Sooo does he have worms? Or is it from the last time they dewormed him? He's almost nine weeks old now. Anyone know?

If he's got worms, they'll be in his poop. I'd check that before freaking out totally, although the dead thing in his bed does sounds like a worm.

You may also want to take a poop sample with you to the vet if you go, just in case they need to test it. This may sound a little OCD, but I always take one of Cooper's with me, regardless. The office staff just look at me with my little baggy of poo and laugh. The vet, however, always tells me I am a "forward thinker".
sounds like a worm to me too :? def take a sample to the vet !!

kisses nat
it can be a worm that came out of the um anal canal!! That happened to my boy he was so infested they were always in his bed.

It will take several wormings that is just a normal procedure. It sounds like a whip worm and I do encourage you to take a sample. This type of worm is often missed, if you still have the worm take it with you.

I do the same thing - I always take a sample. Is that OCD?

I don't know but I take one with me, even to the vaccination appointments. I just figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

I have to admit, I probably DO look a little crazy when I'm outside on all fours, sifting through the grass, looking for a Cooper turd.
UPDATE

I took him to the vet this morning and they gave him some liquid dewormer, for free. They said that he has got worms and they will start coming out into his poop in a few more bowel movements. I will be taking him back to be dewormed once more in two weeks. He has been dewormed twice already, july 4 and july 13 i believe.
