I noticed that Cookie's poo is quite thin lately. He's always done quite small ones but these are thinner and have a thiny bit of mucus.

He's coming up to 15 now and I'm worried it might be serious. I'll be taking him to the vet tomorrow but just wanted some advice in the meantime.

Sometimes thin poops that come out like a ribbon or similar can be because of a blockage. It could be from a fecal impaction or something more serious such as a tumor or growth that is invading the rectum or bowel. I hope you get some answers at the vet.

thanks that's my worry that it's cancer. They aren't really thin. I'd say about a finger in width. I'm worried. He's fine in himself other than that.

He may just have some impacted stool in there that is causing the thinner than normal stool. Or perhaps his anatomy has shrunken a little, causing his poops to be thinner. If he's not in distress, that's really a good sign. :)
