Cosmo putting something like that in their magazine is just going to make the young girls and young women who read that article go out and want to buy one, and when the whole "chi fad" goes out of style, then what's going to happen to all those pups that were bought as the new "IT" accessory? I really hate how people have made the chihuahua a fashion accessory. When I got Chico, I got him because I wanted a small dog (because I live in an apartment) and I wanted a dog that would live a long time. I didn't get him because Paris Hilton has one, I didn't get hime because I thought "oh, he'll look so cute in a little carrier that matches my outfit" and I didn't get him because everyone else has one.
I don't have a subscription to Cosmo anymore, but my sister in law does and I'm going to skim that article this weekend. Then, I will write the magazine also, and express to them my concern. Maybe they'll publish one of our letters in a few months in their "tell Cosmo" section, or whetever its called, where they publish letters they've received.
