O dear!!
YE-OUCH!
Fynn goes to PDSA to have all her nails cut, i cut all Rosies,Sully wears her nails down but has to have her dew claws cut, so two days ago i cut my Sullys dew claws with hubby holding her got to number 3 claw and she bit my bloody ear :shock: we are both okay now and shes forgiven me :?

OMG i would be in such a shock if one of mine bit me :shock:
i always hate clipping their nails :? i'd rather have the vet do it ....

wow that's strange! that he bit you. and i was just say'n that my dog would never bit anyone b/c he's so clam and subbmisive(sp)but i guess you never know :roll:

it could just be cos she was shocked, it's something about dogs and having their nails cut our old golden retriever was so soppy but having her nails trimmed u physcially had to hold her down she hated it so much.

Yes i think so too Nemos mum,i had her leaned against my chest with her back and Mike had to hold each leg tight while i cut the dew claw one at a time, my ear was the only thing available ( and boy did it bleed) shes back to being in love with me again

Ouch! Bet that hurt! Hope you ear heals...nail clipping is a pain!! Literally for you!
Aww your poor ear, i would get an awful fright if my coco done that to me! But i dont know much about nail clipping so i just leave it to my vet! Hope it didn't hurt you too much as i know those chi bites can be pretty nippy!

Gadget has never liked his nails being cut. We have tried everything.. But the vet... I have had Amanda hold him and it didn't work.. I have tried holding him while cutting them and that didn't work.. and I have had Mark hold him and that didn't work.. so this last time I did it I got out 4 yogurt drops and sat criss cross on the bed and put the drops on my knee.. I got Gadget sitting in my arm like I would carry him and I told him after each foot he gets a treat... He just looked at me... I said "If you let me cut your nails on this foot (As I grabbed ahold of his foot) and he just sat there and let me cut his nails.. then I handed him his treat... I did every nail on ever foot and he got his treats... man it has never been that easy in all his life... so that is what we will do from now on...
