WHOOOPIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE

As some of you know I have been searching for a smoothcoat chi female for some time now, and a breeder contacted me to say she had a pup available but wanted them to have a full check up at the vets before she would commit to anyone.
Well, they have been this afternoon and everything is fine with them healthwise,.......AND........ I have first pick, she really wants me to have one :D
The smaller pup, which is the one I want still has a slightly soft head, but the vet said that was to be expected in a smaller pup, and Mr Big also had this when I collected him, so I know to be extra careful for the first few weeks with the head! She is happy for me to have her NOW. Oh my Gosh, I cannot believe it!!

Help me before I spontaniously combust :D

She is eight weeks old tomorrow. Mums milk has dried up, and they have been on tins of butchers tripe for just over two weeks now. There were only two in the litter so very healthy pups.

Give me advice everyone! When should I pick her up, and more importantly, how can I wipe this rediculous smile from my face :D

ooooh, and names, etc, and should I buy her a seperate crate to begin with to keep her extra safe at night.

Alll suggestions very very gratefully received :)

Lucky you... :) Would like to congrats you. We were supposed to have ours in july but it seems there is a problem,he is not kc registered and its impossible to have in kc registered. I guess its a big deal if he isn`t registered even though he has a pedigree... :(

Congratulations again,happy for you.

Reply to the soft head.....

Hi, Just wanted to share this with you-to put your mind at ease about your new puppy...also let us know if and when you pick her up...so happy for you.

Molera
The Chihuahua's molera(a.k.a. fontanel) is considered a breed characteristic and not a defect. Most Chihuahuas (80 percent to 90 percent) have a molera — a soft spot on the top of their head similar to a human baby's soft spot. Although it usually shrinks as the dog matures and ends up between nickel- and dime-sized, molera won't be a problem as long as you're gentle when petting or handling his head. Until it fully forms. (At or by about 1 year)

Just so you know, My wonderful little STUD had a vet check befor I picked him up, and he noted on the form, that this pup should not be bred due to his large soft spot.....needless to say -it didnt worry me one bit....He is a year and a half now....his head has fully formed....no more soft spot, and has fathered two beautiful short hair litters, welped on june 3rd and june 8th. Hope this helps. If you would like to see our little ones please go to :
