Glad I found this thread. Simcha does this frequently, when excited and happy, often followed by rolling on his back to invite a belly rub. Ruth has long suspected that the action was auto-erotic in nature, while I have felt that it was a submissive response. I guess we can safely kill the auto-erotic theory, and assume that his sexuality is pretty well gone. He was neutered in June, before we adopted him.

I think it's safe to say that you can tell your wife that you were right! Lol. I know most husbands love those few moments when they are right
